Questions, questions, questions, ...

Post by advfan » Thu Sep 09, 2004 7:42 pm

Hi,
once again a couple of questions for the expert collectors out there.

In the scans of the Channel 8 catalog published a few days ago the Mysterious Adventures are listed as being text only on cassette and with graphics on disk. Did Channel 8 release any of those adventures on disk? I have only seen the text only ones and even those are hard to find.

I've two different dumps of the game Quasimodo by Synapse. One is dated 1983 and the other 1984 with a somewhat different intro screen. Was one of them a cassette and the other a disk version or did they re-release the game slightly modified?

When trying to download the games Deja-Vu (Ariola) and the 221B Baker Street case disks I get a download unavailable message in french. Could you please fix the links?

Also, I have seen a game called America's Cup for auction at Ebay. I didn't see it listed in the database. Is it known under another name? I can bid for it and if I win I can send it to you guys, so that you can dump it.

Regards :D ,

I believe the company folded before they released anything else. The three "coming soon" adventures were never sold either (on any platform).

The 1984 release could be the European release by SynSoft / US Gold.

Thanks for reporting that. Fixed

There's a public domain game with the same name that we need to add. Do you have the URL so we can double-check?

Thanks for your help!

Found it and it's actually the same game. Don't be fooled by the box, it's NOT a commercial program, just a deluxe PD release by Page 6 / New Atari User (probably with printed manual).

Hi,
thanks for fixing the link for those games and for your information about the Ebay game.
Regarding the Quasimodo dump, it says Synapse in both, unlike in Blue Max or Alley Cat where Synapse is replaced by the Synsoft name. Do you want me to send you the one that is different to the one you offer for download?

Thanks but I believe we have it already. We just need to know what release it is first
