Colour Puzzle / String Pattern / Sound Program / DLI Example

Post by wesmond » Sun Feb 05, 2012 4:08 pm

Hi,

Next 4 from Virgin Books "Games for your Atari". All by Paul Bunn:-

Colour Puzzle: p65-68. Instructions: basically number the blocks from 01-25, start at left-most block, then top-to-bottom in next column and so on. Your first four moves must be 01, 10, 16, 25 in some order (ie, the corners of the diamond). After that, places blocks so they are touching (horiz/vert - not diagonally) a block you've already put there, but they cannot be connected to another block of the same colour (horiz/vert/AND diagonally). Type two-digit numbers 01-25 for each move, or 99 to give up.

String Pattern: p69 - Probably for the "demos" category. It says "This short simple program produces lovely patterns and sounds." It should really say "This short simple program produces one pleasant curve-stitch pattern, which then flashes and bleeps quite annoyingly at you!" But there we are!

Sound Program: p70-71 - assigns a different pitched bleep to each key, records up to 500 and replays.

Display List Interrupt Example: p72 - the usual pretty "one-colour-per-line" DLI demo.

Cheers,
Wes
