Excellent. This is a very ambitious project, and it would be fantastic for it to be available as a real cartridge.

It's great that there is a diary on the website. It gives some insights into the process.

The movie doesn't work with my player. What player do you use?

It works for me in WMP, and also VLC media player.

Maybe you need the xvid codec: http://www.xvid.org/ ?

Hope you got it working.

Parallax scrolling, digitised voice samples (plus music), smooth movement of a large sprite...

This really is something special.

Quicktime

Post by andy_bernstein » Sun May 29, 2005 11:49 pm

May I just say that a Quicktime would be more cross-compatible with all platforms ?

I've tried numerous times (w/ the various downloadble Xvid libraries) to make this work on Macintosh (both OS9 and OSX) but no success so far.

Too bad.

Try the aforementioned VLC media player, works great on all platforms and handles just about everything you can throw at it. Great for Windows movies on my Powerbook. Freeware.
