Is there any way you can easily convert enhanced density disks (that do not use the extra sectors) to single density?

I have lots of copied boot disks that are enhanced density instead of original single density. Of course, I want them to be 90K. What I'm looking for is a copier that will duplicate a disk in single density even if the original is in medium density. The ones I tried so far always switch to the density of the source disk...

Most copiers allow you to disable formatting the destination disk. So just format the disk before, and later copy without format.

You might have a small problem though. Depending on how you format the disk, it will write a few sectors to the disk. When you make the copy later, most copier don't write empty sectors. The problem then, is that a sector might be empty on the source, but not on the destination. So just in case, use a sector copier that allow you to write empty sectors (either by default, or either as an option).
