Hi,
Been going back in time a bit and found all my old Atari gear, most of it works and been having a blast playing old good games.
I have ATARI 600XL, 800XL with floppy drives. VCS's and two ATARI ST.
Have hundreds of games.
And now got a few emulators for my Mac.
My question is with my Mac and all the hardware can I get the games from my original floppy disks into my Mac and play them and also to keep and archive them away for the future when the time comes my ATARI gear dies.
R
Newbie question.... how can I do it?

Hi Ray,
You can dump your original ST disks on your own ST using the Pasti imaging tool. And then you use the images under Windows emulators. Pasti is currently not supported under MAC.
If you have indeed many originals, it might be interesting if you could make a list.
Most original disks are copy protected. You won't be able to do that, at least no so easily.Raymate wrote:My question is with my Mac and all the hardware can I get the games from my original floppy disks into my Mac and play them and also to keep and archive them away for the future when the time comes my ATARI gear dies.

Think your right, I looked at the software and after looking into getting a cable made it will be easier to get them from here.ijor wrote:I see. Then, unless you have something super rare, it is easier to download images from the net. For A8 (800/XL/XE) images, here is the best place to start.Raymate wrote:Thanks for the link.. to be honet all the floppy are not origianls.
Is their a way to down load a bunch of games or do I need to do one at a time?
