problems with converting to CAS...

What's your experience in converting cassettes into CAS format ? Any general tips to have more success when converting to cas ?
I tried to convert Heartache (Heart Break) and Arcade Fruit Simulator but without success

Heartache loads successfully the Atari logo but resets when trying to load main program. Arcade Fruit Machine crashes Atari800Win+ 4.0 during loading !
Is cas emulation still not working 100% with Atari800Win ?
Is there any other emulator that can be used for checking my CAS dumps ?

First of all, do the .hex files generated by wav2cas show any "bad" blocks? If so, then it's probably necessary to try again. It can take many attempts to produce a working file. My own copy of Heartache is of poor quality, and I haven't been able to generate a working .cas file yet.
Secondly, it's much better to record a mono signal from a single stereo channel (usually the right channel), and make sure that the .wav file is in the correct format.
Sometimes some audio processing is necessary to remove noise.

I will check about bad blocks...
Btw, what about the program "Magotrans" by polish guys. It's also about converting CAS files , but haven't tried yet.
Any info about copy protection on cassettes ? (seems that many polish cassettes are protected ... ?!)
