'.com' filetypes?

So, I've built up a pretty nice collection of emulators across the board and am now starting to pad my 8-bit collection - but I keep running into these .zip files that uncompress as .com files - anyone know what these are? it's not listed as a filetype supported by my emulator and i've never heard of it. any pointers?[/b]

Hi,

These are just Atari 8-bit executables. If you are using Atari800Win PLus, just "drag and drop them" or load them via ALT+X.

Thanks for the tip - i'm actually using a mac and realized i had to change to .com file extension to .exe and they loaded fine. Thanks!
