Congo Bongo - for old bios only?

Hi,
does Congo Bongo from Sega (cartridge version) only work properly with the 400/800 bios?

It definitely works with the 1200xl, but I haven't tried it on other machines yet.

It works with the... 600XL but not the 800XL, God knows why...

You mean the 600XL with 16k? My 600XL is upgraded (64k) and the cart doesn't work!

Really? I always thought the title screen was messed up on all the newer machines except the 600XL but with everything else OK.

Title screen is fine (except for the high score 00000 which is scrambled), but I cannot start the game. I tried two different cartridges, and both show the same effects on my 600XL...
