More importantly, will I be able to use it on an XEGS for games that require keypad functionality? I basically got it so I could play BBSB.

Is there a specific keyboard anyone can suggest for use with the XEGS? I have a disk drive coming my way and thought I had a keyboard for the XEGS, but I do not.

The price is ok since the keyboard is new and of good quality.

The auction's description mentions a special driver to be delivered with the keyboard. If this driver works with the XEGS then the keybord definitively will do also. Since the 400/800 model has four joystick ports the keyboard could be plugged in the driver certainly will check all four - maybe this checking procedure gives a problem with XL/XE units. But the driver should be very simple (small routine working during VBI) and I think it could be patched easily to work with all Atari 8-Bit computers.

I found a CX85 driver for XL/XE computers for use with Turbo Basic. The assembler source in ATMASII-format is also included.
