I know there's a Christmas greeting program made for the 8bits, but was there anything along those lines done for Halloween?

It's possible to email the team (there's a link on the front page of the site).
You can add attachments to the emails.

The first time I ever saw it was when someone converted the original 8bit computer version over to the 5200 last year btw.

OK, I think I know which program you're referring to. That demo is really old, 1981-82 era probably.

Can't remember where it originated though. I don't know of anything similar for Halloween, but it's possible...
