Info on dumping disk to a image

Greetings.
I have my working Atari 800xl and a 1050 drive. Can anyone point me to the specific instructions of the cheapest/easiest way to burn a disk to a image? I found my uncles home brew game and disk he created and he really want me to record footage of me playing it. (live states away) I figured what better way then to make a image a preserve it!!
The game boots and works so i want to dump it to a image. I am a complete noob with atari computer stuff, so anything in 2nd grader instructions and links would be great!!
