Hello Everyone,
I just bought a non working Atari 65XE system. I noticed that some of the capacitors on the left of the memory chips (each memory chip has a little yellow barrel-shaped one) are broken... Could you please tell me what the farads of these capacitors are? I think that the are 0.1uf but I'm not sure... Will these ones work?

Thank you for your time...

Re: Question about an 65XE
Hmmm. Not sure.
I know that some motherboard versions used 30V 104 caps, but there were several revisions of the board.
Do your caps have any markings on them?

Re: Question about an 65XE
Yes, I think these are the ones...
Some say: 104 Z5J 635
and some others: CGW 104 Z51
I suppose they are the same? Also the model number is: C070067 REV-B
If I buy something like this, will it do the job?

Re: Question about an 65XE
My guess is yes. They are 100 nF caps, and it seems that yours are too.
I'm not an electronics expert, but I'd be very surprised if they didn't do the job. Whether that's the only problem with your machine is another matter.
Best of luck!
