Reaxion,BubbleBobble,...

Post by José Pereira » Fri Jun 03, 2005 11:46 am

:( What happened to this two games?
World Class Leaderboard? Anyone doing this? Any screens?
Out Run, and others? Anyone start the coding?

Menace and Shadow of the Beast, Could it be possible to finish this two great, great games?

Last Ninja - When Jet Boot Jack find the screen(s)?

Many, many question that need some answers?

Thanks!...

Welcome José,
:( What happened to this two games?
I believe Reaxion A8 is finished and will be sold through Cronosoft shortly. AFAIK, Bubble Bobble is still being worked on.
World Class Leaderboard? Anyone doing this? Any screens?
Just some preliminary work by Wrathchild if memory serves...
Menace and Shadow of the Beast, Could it be possible to finish this two great, great games?
I think someone is working on Menace and I'm not sure Jet Boot Jack wants to finish Shadow of the Beast...
Last Ninja - When Jet Boot Jack find the screen(s)?
Not sure he has anything left actually.

José, I see you are from Portugal... Was the Atari ever sold in your country? Was there any Portuguese software available? Were there magazines with Atari type-ins?

Thanks!

:oops:No, in the 80/90 we don´t had anyone, with ATARI 8bit or other Computers developing games, but we had a great community with many stores.
The only ones I Know, was two brothers: MARCO AND RUI TITO who done a basic game in a portuguese magazine. Then I know that they went to GREMLIN GRAPHICS and did the game "FINAL MATRIX" to AMSTRAD CPC anc SPECTRUM.
I also went to England and other countries in 92 on an Inter-Rail. In that time I went to PAGE6, RED RAT in Mancnchester, and MILLES BEETTER. I also had catalogs from SUNARO and COMPUTER EXPRESS, and in France from Michael Caroddano (Cenacle).

I have had some names about unreleased games for ATARI8BIT games:

From SUNARO catalogue in the 90´s:
- DARK FUSION - GREMLIN GRAPHICS.
- FUTURE BIKE SIMULATOR - HI-TEC.
- ATOM ANT - HI-TEC
- AUTO-TEST SIMULATOR - BYTE-BACK.
-AND OTHERS THAT i DON´T REMEMBER...
ALL OF THIS THEY MENSION: RELEASED TO BE CONFIRMED.

Some years ago:
PAGE 6/ATARI USER - JACKAL - KONAMI.

More I don´t remember, but other things, includind something interesthing about LAST NINJA I to follow (yes, the first one)...

Yours sincerilly.
Sorry for any bad English.

José Pereira.

It seems all development has been stopped. It's always the same...

But at least the author of game called Boinxx has made some progresses, as it seems.
