Arcade Machine Broderbund

Post by Andre » Sun Apr 04, 2004 9:25 am

Hi all,

does this game construction program originally came with box? What I have seen yet is just the disk and manual (a really thick manual) in a Ziplog bag.

Have there ever been playable games created with the Arcade Machine?

Cheers,

André

A company called 'Shoesoft' released quite a few 'games' that they'd created with 'The Arcade Machine' and they were all awful! I do have a few of their efforts but can't remember many titles: Operation Crossroads is one that springs to mind.

There was also a PD game called 'Eyes of the Illuminati', and another one called 'The Stonetime People'. The latter is probably one of the better uses of this game creator and can be found at Paul Rixon's great Page 6 site:

'The Arcade Machine' wasn't really very good for creating your own games because they basically just looked the same! And if there was a lot of on-screen activity it'd slow right down.
