Differences betw. the tape/disk/cart versions BBSB

Post by carmel_andrews » Mon Apr 03, 2006 1:49 pm

are there any differences between the tape, disk and cart versions (apart from the different loaders)

I remember that the tape version used bank switching to load a dozen or so blocks/sectors at Cxxx

Also i noticed that the tape version uses self modifyunig code (i.e the data in ram doesn't correspond with the data on tape)

Additionally i don't think the cartridge version was officially released in europe...US only i guess (i never saw it anyway) but i did see the disk version (a8, sillica shop had it, US GOLD release) and used to own the tape version)

The Atari version was tape only. Considering the popularity of the game, a disk release would have been found already. Note that there's also a Dutch version by Aackosoft (on cassette as well).
