The primary motivation for searching out Atari emulators, is to experience again playing Temple of Apshai. I cannot seem to figure out how to save a character and a dunjon. When prompted to insert a disk on which to save, I have tried an ATR file formatted with DOS2 and an ATR file formatted with DOS2 with DOS files written to it.

I am using the ATX version for Temple of Apshai (since the ATR file is missing level 4) and the ATR version of Hellfire Warrior as downloaded from atarimania, on Altirra.

Oddly enough the ATR file for Temple of Apshai that is missing level 4 allows me to save.

Any insight would be appreciated on how to fix to save error.
