TOSEC is a renaming tool / standard for game images and it uses such abbreviations. Overall, it's a good idea but very poorly implemented. I don't want to explain this any further or it would take hours  Anyway, just stick to normal files, there's generally no use having all these so-called "...

Paddle game: Castle Crisis! Ahhhh!!!!! Good suggestion! That's one of my faves on the 5200!!! BTW - Computer War has the C64 version on one side of the disk, and the A8 on the reverse. It's a "flippy". Ok, so now I have another question... How do I use the disk drive? Is it as simple as connecting ...

Ok, thanks to the atarimax sio2pc adapter, I'm live with my 800! :P Since I'm TOTALLY new to the 800, I need much help. I'd really appreceate any and all responses! Ok, first question...is there a "warm" reboot, like on modern PC's "ctrl-alt-del" on the 800 ? Sometimes hitting "system reset" will wo...

I have some hookups coming in the mail In case you are a PC-owner also  I recommend to provide yourself with the SIO2PC/APE equipment. That allows for interconnecting Atari 8-Bit computers with PCs which are degraded then to serve as peripherial components like disc drive or printer ...

Nope, my first computer was a Ti-99/4A. I dont remember what happened or why (I was about 12 at the time I think) but Texas Instruments discontinued them or something, and they dropped in proce from like $1000 to $99 ! I remember waiting in line with my mom for hours to get one. That was a great lit...

What games are you looking to convert? All of them! :D Actually, enough that I could send the cart back to you for reprogramming with mostly 800 conversions. I have ALL the 5200 carts, so I mostly got the multi cart for the conversions. It's cheaper and takes up less room than starting a 400/800 co...

I actually have your multicart. I'm waiting for a few more conversions actually to send back to you for re-programming, but if I can convert them myself I can pick exactly which ones I want on it.

Hi and welcome to the site! I really LOVE the design of the 5200. Still, although the feel IS a bit different, it's nothing more than a revamped A8 computer to most of us Europeans. I wonder how well the console would have fared over here if launched in 1982... -- Atari Frog http://www.atarimania.c...

Well, i´m not a fan, but i like this big machine, also the 5200 carts are impossible to find here in Argentina, you might have to import them only. :? Do you have any games, or just the unit itself? Do the televisions in Argentina support the 5200? I know there was no PAL version of the 5200 releas...
