Re: Just saying hi

Hi marakatti, good to hear from you again too. Yes, it is a shame when things get so out of hand that they can't be reconciled but well, that is what striking out on your own is all about. :) We are forging ahead with our vision with OoPA (at one point a similar design was to be implemented into Ret...

Re: Just saying hi

I have been removed as the Administrator at Retromags and have decided to leave after many misunderstandings with the owner. I have started up Out-of-Print Archive with another former member of Retromags, meppi and a third person, STGuy1040. Here is our address, http://www.outofprintarchive.com come...

The Game Doctor makes a house call at Retromags

Retromags.com, the project that is working to preserve gaming magazines before they are lost to history and time itself, is honored to bring to the world, an interview with the one and only, Bill "The Game Doctor" Kunkel. http://www.retromags.com/forums/Game-Doctor-In-t4126.html&pid=20534#entry20534

If you want to use any scans from our site, that is fine, we have no problem with it, all Philly asks is if you can put a clickable link back to www.retromags.com.

What is so strange about AR is that the programmers of the Dungeon had a working engine that could perform like Doom but it was scrapped because the publisher (forget which company it was at the time, there were so many involved) felt that gamers weren't interested in seeing the enemy for one nor wo...

Alternate Reality

Anyone play this game? I am currently addicted to it (mapping out the remainder of the 1st level and about half way through the second) and let me tell you, it is unforgivingly tough (seemingly harder to me than Wizardry).
Anyone know of any other single character 1st person RPG's similar to AR?

I have seen ads for it, along with several other games in the same ad. I will see if I can find those ads again (not sure which mag they were in).

Thank you for the nice comments about Retromags. We are trying our hardest to get older computer magazines but we are 100% dependent on member assistance on what gets put up for release (as long as it is not newer than 1999). Not sure if you saw this but here is a mag that has ST games in it: Comput...

Just saying hi

Hi,

First of all, I like the site, very nice. I wish there were more sites like this for other systems/companies. Kudos on the design.
