Re: looking for name of vertical scrolling arcade shooter

The awesome Miner '2049er is flawed in that you get to the 5th time round or so (if you are very good!!) and there are some impossible leves due to bug/speed/placement.... I have a similar complaint with Tetris fot the C64. It's a great game but it continues to speed up until the joystick input is ...

Re: New Look for Atarimania

On the front page, can you alter the date format for Latest Database Updates ? United States dates are normally expressed as: 7/11/2009 = July 11, 2009 European dates are normally expressed as: 7/11/2009 = Nov 7, 2009 When I checked the site toady, I just automatically assumed it hadn't been updated...

I thought R10 was for games in production that were basically like prototypes but are later determined to be released under really odd circumstances? For example, Ultima Mt. Drash for the VIC-20 where it was said not to have been released but later it was revealed that a limited number escaped from ...

There is a boxed copy of this on eBay today. So apparently it isn't a legitimate R10 as we suspected. Can we change the rarity to 9?

Bounty Bob Strikes Back has a LOT of Votes!

Not a big deal but it struck me as odd: BBSB has something like 17000 votes; That's over 10K more than any other game! I think something funny has happened to it. On a related subject, I notice the top 100 shows games with as few as 4 votes qualify for the list. So as I type this, European Countries...

Suggestion: Add new License type for boxed homebrews

I notice we have L=Commercial and L=PD/Freeware/Shareware but neither of theese describe some of the recent releases like Yoomp or Hobgoblin. It looks like there is intent out there to make more of these homebrew-but-commercial-style limited releases for the forseeable future. What about a new licen...

Not worth too much I'm afraid. Maybe $40-$50 for the lot. I would list them on Craigslist and see if you can find a good home for them with someone who will keep them running.

Here's a game I never thought I'd see!

It's the original StarFleet I: The War Begins, published by Cygnus!
I had thought that all copies for the Atari 800 were published after they changed names to Interstel. Apparently, they did make a few in 1985.
